Mods Every Oblivion Remastered Player Should Get

Introduction

Oblivion Remastered was released almost a year ago and we already covered some mods about it when it came out fresh. This time we had a look at some other mods and would like to share our list with you :) It's a very mixed list but regardless some are must haves which made our playthrough lots easier.

1. Ayleid Reshade

Starting the list is the Ayleid Reshade mod. The mod is a usual reshader with the aim of trying to mimic the original Oblivion shade. It does a good job of giving some old school vibes but you can clearly see that the Unreal Engine 5 still has it's fingerprints here. The mod isn't all that heavy on performance (well the game itself is already demanding) so you won't have much to worry about if your system can stem some mods for the game.

2. Auto Local Map

This mod is almost personal. Auto Local Map - Smarter Map Opening does what it says: It opens the local map, e.g. Dungeons, if you're inside a dungeon. This is such a painkiller if you happen to be in a dungeon or something similar and need to quickly look up where you are. Unfortunately the vanilla game opens the world map and you have to scroll painfully into the map until it switches to the local map. This mod fixes this problem and even though it's a simple small change, it still has a big impact on the QoL when playing the game. Thanks!

3. Colovian Cuts

Now we get to some performance killers. Colovian Cuts - Hairstyles with Physics adds 4 total new hairstyles (which are mostly longer hairs) with some physics action to it:

Look at that hair! It's mostly cosmectic and doesn't add much changes to the game but it makes it feel a tad more realistic. Also only download if you dislike wearing a helmet!

4. Daggerdancer

Download: Nexus Mods

Daggerdancer - NBO adds a completely new light armor set to the game. You can buy the new armor at the three brothers trade goods. You have to install some other mods to make this work but other than that, it's a nice female armor piece which we can recommend if you are more of than thief/rogue player.
